ITO ang pagtiyak ni Rear Admiral Roy Vincent Trinidad, Navy Spokesman on West Philippine Sea.

Ayon kay Rear Adm Trinidad, kahit lumaki pa ang presensiya ng mga Chinese vessel sa Ayungin Shoal (Second Thomas Shoal) sa West Philippine Sea (WPS), tuloy-tuloy ang gagawing rotation and resupply (RORE) missions para sa AFP contingent na nakatalaga sa BRP Sierra Madre (LS-57).

“The rotation and reprovisioning of our forces is a moral obligation of the leadership of the Armed Forces, regardless of any threat, any coercive aggressive action, it will be conducted,” ani Trinidad.

Hindi umano maaapektuhan ang RORE missions sa dahil lamang sa pagdami ng Chinese maritime activity sa area.

Dagdag pa ng opisyal, obligasyon ito ng Armed Forces na hatiran ng mga kinakailangan supplies ang mga sundalong nasa frontlines na nanatiling sky high ang morale sa gitna ng presensya ng Chinese vessels.

“We owe it to the men and women in the frontlines to provide them with the appropriate support that they need, especially food and other important supplies,” ani Trinidad.

Noong Lunes, inihayag ng PN official na dumami pa ang namataang Chinese ships malapit sa Ayungin Shoal kabilang ang 13 maritime militia vessels, dalawang China Coast Guard (CCG) ships, at isang People’s Liberation Army Navy tugboats.

Noong nakalipas na linggo, limang CCG ships ang natiktikan kasama ang 11 rigid-hulled inflatable boats/fast boats, at siyam na maritime militia vessels.
